The CIS countries are linked by their long history as part of a single state and their pursuit of common goals of sustainable development and the achievement of ideals.
This unity was manifested, first and foremost, in the interconnectedness of everyday life, elements of the spatial and material environment, and the transfer of the best stylistic techniques of artistic creativity from neighbors to their own cultural soil. Even during the chaos of the late 20th century, ordinary people were aware of their connection with the inhabitants of those countries with which they had previously shared a common home. Today, there is a renewed awareness that only by combining their potential can the CIS countries achieve their sustainable development goals. But political agreements are not enough; it is necessary to revive the feeling of a single cultural space that preserves all the individual characteristics of the peoples that comprise it. Fashion, design, and art serve to solve this task.
